Here we go, random thoughts on a super-duper day in Madison:

A fabulous Madison Spring day!

In fact, we’re in the season of “fabulous Madison Spring days.” I got in 10 miles on the bike yesterday and it was awesome! We may get some more rain at some point, but who cares? Another great day is on the horizon right behind it.

It’s practically de rigueur, this time of year—right? Let’s say it. It’s a postcard.

A year ago this morning, we signed away our house in Oklahoma and hit the road for Madison. It was a beautiful day in Oklahoma. It was a beautiful day to say goodbye.

It is a super-duper day!

Don’t ask me where I heard that. Maybe on the radio? Maybe a movie? In a TV show I’m binge-watching? I don’t know.

And maybe it’s cheesy, but why not?

I am constantly asking “where is God?” in this or that. Situations. Meetings. Politics. Weather. Life. All the time. Even when it sucks.

The Spirit is always at work. Always in all ways.
And I can’t always do it, but I try.
I try to remember to look for it.

For God.
Always in all ways.

Supertramp just came up on my iPod.
Maybe they’re cheesy, too…
Sing it with me—

Dreamer, you know you are a dreamer
Well can you put your hands in your head, oh no!
I said dreamer, you're nothing but a dreamer
Well can you put your hands in your head, oh no!
I said "Far out, what a day, a year, a life it is!"
You know, well you know you had it comin' to you
Now there’s not a lot I can do.

Cheesy or not, that’s right.
Forget the news.
There’s not a lot I can do—but look for God in this fabulous super-duper day in Madison. And guess what I see?

The Spirit is moving—always in all ways.

Far out!
What a day!
A year!
A life it is!

You bet!

Grace and Peace,
