What the What? Again?

Déjà vu all over again! Irma is bearing down on the Caribbean as I write this (Wednesday). It’s a Category 5 Hurricane (no, there’s no such thing as a “6” but if there were, this might be it.) I’ve heard reports say it’s the biggest Hurricane ever. Irma is HUGE, that’s for sure.

Keep praying about its trajectory. There’s a good chance it will hit Florida this weekend. But, there’s also the possibility that it could run out of steam or hook off in a different direction. They aren’t taking any chances. NPR said there are evacuations underway at least in the Florida Keys.

It just makes you want to cry all over again. Harvey victims still need our help. They’ll be needing our help for years, but especially now. Their stories are gut-wrenching. It’s just so much!

The best thing we can do is send money to the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA), Red Cross, or some other reputable relief agency.

It does feel like Déjà vu—again.
Most of all, we need to keep praying.

Grace and peace,

ps…don’t forget Rally Day visioning this Sunday at 10:15 in the Sanctuary! We’ll have a short service to get us together and then break out into small groups. What does a “flawless future” look like for PCM? Come Sunday and share your vision for our vision:

To see lives transformed, families strengthened, and our community renewed through intentional relationship with Jesus Christ.

How do we live into it? Come and see. And we'll be picnicing on the lawn afterwards! Pizza, subs, ice cream truck! yum!
